This self-sustaining campus spread over 70 acres has been designed by New York-based Perkins Eastman. The campus is designed to meet the LEEDS Gold sustainability criteria, with energy-efficient mechanical and electrical fixtures, rain water harvesting, maximised day lighting and passive environmental controls. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art learning infrastructure – lecture theatres, a 500-seater auditorium, high-definition video conferencing, seamless access to digital and online library resources, and cashless payments through use of smart cards. It also features fully-serviced apartments for students and faculty, cafeterias and cafes, sports and recreational facilities, and support services such as banking, communication, convenience stores, and medical facilities.

The central academic block, comprising separate buildings under a unifying parasol roof, is the heart of the campus. The outdoor spaces connecting the separate facilities feature formal courtyards protected from the sun by trellis and fabric canopies and also informal connective gardens.

The staff is located in two levels of this building.

Common to both Hyderabad and Mohali, the atrium is an open space where students can relax. The atrium in Mohali connects the Administration Block with the Academic Square.

The Circle building houses the Café Coffee Day outlet and the merchandise store. The cylindrical building lend a unique character to the campus.

The campus provides housing facilities for the students and the faculty. The Mohali campus, in the first phase has 68 studio apartments, 174 quads and 16 faculty housing units. The apartments are air-conditioned, fully furnished and equipped with a cable connection, voice and data ports for telephone, campus LAN and the Internet.

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) has over 10, 000 books and access to world-class journals and various printed and online information resources.

The well-equipped lecture theatres have audiovisual and videoconferencing facilities such as overhead projectors, LCDs, fixed cameras and touch-pad systems. The seamless connectivity between the campuses helps students stay connected.

The recreation centre comprises a gym, swimming pool, squash courts, tennis and basketball courts and a volleyball court. One can enjoy a game of Pool, or Fooze Ball taking a break from the mundane routine. A well equipped Music Room, Day care for children is also coming up in the Recreation Centre area.

Four new institutes have been set up at the ISB-Mohali campus: the Max Institute of Healthcare Management, Munjal Global Manufacturing Institute, Bharti Institute of Public Policy and Punj Lloyd Institute of Physical Infrastructure Management. These institutes have support from the ISB’s international associations and partner schools. The School has established an academic association with the MIT Sloan School of Management to support the setting up of both The Munjal Global Manufaturing Institute and The Punj Lloyd Institute of Physical Infrastructure Management, with The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University, to develop the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, while the existing partnership with The Wharton School has been extended to include the Max Institute of Healthcare Management. The Mohali campus will also have support from Kellogg School of Management and the London School of Business.
