Fordham undergraduate Business School ranking

From the Gabelli School of Business:
Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business educates the next generation of business leaders who will change the world. Its rigorous academics, spanning three MBA formats and 12 specialized MS programs, give students a grasp of not only how to do business, but also why—empowering them to change industry, society, and the individual lives of others. This is business with purpose.
Fordham maintains relationships with more than 2, 600 companies and organizations, using their insights to continually revise each curriculum for currency and workplace relevance. Faculty updated the two-year Full-Time Cohort MBA in 2014; a complete revision of the Professional MBA, which offers maximum part-time/full-time flexibility, is taking place in 2015. These two degrees, like all Gabelli School programs, take full advantage of the learning resources of New York City—which might mean a site visit to the trading floor of Nomura Securities, a leadership-development exercise in a simulated burning building at the Fire Department of New York’s training center, a live Q-and-A with the COO of Mashable, an analytics project tracking viewing habits for the Food Network, or a workshop at the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade Theater that explores the common ground between great improvisational comedy and business-world success.
These New York City connections also inform where many Gabelli School students earn their academic-year internship stripes—and land post-graduation careers. On Wall Street. With the advertising giants of Madison Avenue. In one of the highest-value, fastest-moving real-estate markets in the United States. Throughout New York’s growing technology corridor, from Meatpacking District powerhouse Google to the nimble, newly launched digital marketing agencies of the Flatiron. And, of course, in all four of the Big Four, where some Gabelli School alumni are top recruiting partners.
The primary reason any business student completes an MBA or MS is to get a great job, and Fordham dedicates a full slate of resources to assisting students in that pursuit. More than 50 high-ranking alumni executives on the Gabelli School’s advisory board directly provide job-search advice and use their connections to help students secure interviews, internships, and jobs. Full-time career counselors in the Personal and Professional Development Center deliver industry-specific workshops, organize on-campus recruiting activities, offer one-on-one interview coaching or salary-negotiation guidance, and continually expand the network of corporations, nonprofits, government agencies, and other organizations that are looking to hire Fordham students with top-tier academic preparation and a commitment to conducting business with impact.
What makes the Gabelli School different from other business schools in New York City is its philosophy, inspired by Fordham University’s Jesuit tradition, that business has a responsibility to do more than simply generate profit. The school seeks students who have a higher mindset: who are guided by their own strong values, and whichever higher power inspires them, to be excellent in business because it can make a difference in the world. Fordham produces the type of student whom people will hear about and admire not 15 or 30 years into the future, but two or one.
15 Degree Options:
Full-time Cohort MBA: Thoroughly redesigned for the needs of today’s employers, the Full-Time Cohort MBA is designed to provide the tools, knowledge, and support to become a strong leader. This two-year program was created to enhance the whole individual through rigorous, marketplace-relevant academics. Coursework and outside-of-class experiences cultivate leadership skills, communication skills, and technology skills. Its streamlined 60 credits provide a global perspective that is both “self-aware” and “world-aware.” Students take all of their courses together as a cohesive cohort, enabling them to develop strong professional networks that will last long after graduation. Students have seven choices of “majors, ” plus the option of a dual major.
Professional MBA: The Professional MBA can be taken either full-time or part-time. The pace is in your hands: as few as one class per term, as many as five, or somewhere in between. Enroll in courses independently, rather than with a cohort of classmates. Professional MBA students select one of seven “concentrations” or choose two to complete a dual concentration.
Executive MBA: The Executive MBA is an accelerated MBA delivered in 22 months: one three-day weekend per month. The complete program is designed for mid-range professionals on the leadership track; it focuses on management and strategy, with additional coursework in finance and business communication. Students travel throughout the program with the same 20 to 25 career-experienced classmates, who become colleagues and friends.
