This memorandum of understanding constitutes an agreement between Royal Roads University (RRU) and London School of Business & Finance Canada (LSBF). The participating units at the respective institutions are the Faculty of Management at RRU and the London School of Business & Finance Canada.

Objective of the Agreement

RRU agrees to facilitate the block transfer of students from LSBF’s Higher National Diploma program with appropriate prerequisite qualifications into the third year of any of the following RRU degree programs:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Global Tourism Management
  • Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel Management
  • Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management

By this agreement, applicants from LSBF who have successfully completed the Higher National Diploma program with a minimum “B” (3.0/4.33) GPA will be eligible for admission to RRU with full block transfer, provided all other entrance criteria are met (per the program admission requirements on the RRU website) and space remains available in the program. Entrance to all programs at RRU is on a competitive basis.

Please note the following prerequisites for the degree programs at RRU:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Global Tourism Management:
    - Recognized college/university level financial accounting course with a “B” (3.0/4.33) average
    - Minimum 400 hours tourism/hospitality related work experience
  • Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel Management:
    - Recognized college/university level financial accounting course with a “B” (3.0/4.33) average
    - Minimum 400 hours tourism/hospitality related work experience
  • Bachelor of Business Administration:
    - Recognized college/university level financial accounting course with a “B” (3.0/4.33) average
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management:
    - Recognized college/university level financial accounting course with a “B” (3.0/4.33) average
    - Minimum three years business-related work/life experience

As a partner to this agreement, LSBF agrees:

  • to make information about this agreement and the RRU degree options available to students;
  • to provide opportunity for representatives of RRU to visit appropriate forums at LSBF to disseminate information about the RRU programs noted above;
  • to notify RRU with as much lead time as possible of any curriculum changes to the Higher National Diploma.

As a partner to the agreement, RRU agrees:

  • to provide students from LSBF holding a Higher National Diploma academic acceptance into the third year of the RRU undergraduate programs noted above, provided all other entrance criteria are met (per the program admission requirements on the RRU website) and space remains available in the program;
  • whenever possible, to count any undefined transfer credits towards the RRU undergraduate program requirements to prevent students having to unnecessarily take additional courses to qualify for graduation;
  • to notify LSBF with as much lead time as possible of any curriculum changes to the RRU undergraduate programs noted above;
  • to notify LSBF with as much lead time as possible about any changes to the admission requirements that are anticipated or approved for the RRU undergraduate programs noted above.

Liaison

Implementation of this agreement will be through the Registrar’s Office at each institution, in consultation with the appropriate authorities in the respective programs.
