International Sustainability & Development Symposium

On April 8, CIBER held the first Symposium on Sustainable Development in partnership with Indiana University’s Center for the Study of Global Change, Center for the Study of the Middle East, East Asian Studies Center, and Inner Asian & Uralic National Resource Center. For 2016, the theme was Energy & Sustainable Development. A recording of all the day’s sessions can be found below, as well as a written Synopsis of the day.

Doing Business Conference

Teachable Moments

Each episode of Teachable Moments illustrates approaches to teaching cultural nuances through the use of hands-on, in-class activities, as well as tips on incorporating international examples in the college classroom. Many of the examples can be adapted to the high school classroom as well.

Managing Across Diverse Populations

This four-part series explores many of the nuances that individuals working or studying in an international setting will face; an invaluable resource in today’s global economy.

Language and Culture

So many languages and cultures and so little time. This series provides viewers with some basics in less commonly taught languages and highlights of the accompanying country. The multi-faceted series can serve a variety of purposes in the classroom as well as prep for individuals traveling for business or pleasure.
