Brief description HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration is the university of the Hamburg business
community. Founded by Hamburg Chamber of Commerce in 2004, it now cooperates
with more than 220 companies. As a state-recognized third-level institution, it offers
bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business as dual and part-time courses for over 700
students.

Its high-quality degree programmes in business and economics combine academic study with systematic work experience. In the bachelor's programmes, students alternate semesters of academic study with semesters of full-time employment.. Our approach builds upon academic theory using knowledge and understanding of management practice gained from first hand experience at the workplace.

Our full-time undergraduate programmes are:
Business Administration (B.Sc.)
Logistics Management (B.Sc.)
Media Management (B.Sc.)
Maritime Management (B.Sc.)
(Mar Man and Log Man are entirely taught and assessed in English)

All B.Sc. study programmes are accredited and lead to the internationally recognised university degree Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.) in three years. This degree entitles the graduates to study for a Master’s degree. Currently almost 500 students are enrolled in our B.A. programmes.
Dual study programmes are characterised by studying at the university for 20 weeks per year, and spending the remaining 32 weeks in training companies. The combination of practical and theoretical education qualifies the graduates for especially management tasks and guarantees them high chances of being taken on by their respective companies. They receive appropriate salaries from their companies, which also bear the greatest part of the students’ tuition fees. Thus, our cooperating companies have the opportunity to recruit young people with the potential to become excellent managers in the future.

Our part-time postgraduate programmes are:
Global Management and Governance (M.Sc.)
Business Administration & Honourable Leadership (MBA)

Our Master of Arts (M.Sc.) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes allow students to pursue their professional careers and study at the same time. At the HSBA the students develop their generalist and specialist competences and their management skills in order to meet the global requirements of the business world.
